Let there be light, Part 1

Last week I had the great pleasure of co-teaching a ” Brilliant” lighting class with the masterful Nick Fancher.  Up early and through the ice we went unloading gear, setting up lights and modifiers kindly donated by Midwest Photo Exchange.  Our students arrived and were a mix of Pros and advanced amateurs, all excited, ready and open.  They were the brilliant part and amazed both Nick and I with their commitment to learn and ultimately the final images they produced.  I’m waiting on a couple more images from the students and will post them soon.  In the meantime I’ve included some image I shot from class demonstrations.  More of the good stuff soon.

Tricia and I had the honor of photographing Eric and Jen’s wedding on the beautiful island of St. John.   A little paradise goes a long way but after the winter we’ve had we wished it went a little bit longer.  Sharing these so you know the sun is shining somewhere. Thank you Jen and Eric for everything, what a blessing it was.

Karen Evans - Great work, Chris!

anne pasi - amazing.

Jen Faulkner - We couldn’t have asked for anything remotely close to what we received from you. Thank you for capturing and our most important day, with your awesome talent.

Amanda came in with an amazing old soul self awareness.  Comfortable in her own skin, intelligent, creative and kind, her pictures reflect her serene inner and outer beauty juxtaposed with her artsy funk.   What a pleasure it was to meet her.

CW STAR 2011

I was honored again to work with the fantastic people of  The CW Columbus (WWHO-TV) and photograph their amazing new star Angie.  They sure know how to pick em, Angie radiates charm, beauty, style and warmth from the moment you meet her; I’m looking forward to watching her shine on the station.  Big thanks to Rob and  Lindsay for their amazing art direction and energy.  You can catch a little of the shoot and Angie’s fashion tips here, www.cwcolumbus.com.    God Bless!
