Mercy

I had a completely different photograph to share but I was stunned and quite literally brought to tears today by this one of our daughter Margot taken yesterday.  These days are moving fast and we’re packing kids going to and fro, changing diapers, pouring juice, returning emails, trying to stay afloat on the currents of social media, trying to save that dollar, trying to get healthier or trying not to get worse, trying to stay inspired, trying to do our best and sometimes just trying to do what we can, just trying.  And then I look into these eyes and they feel like mercy to me; like the sun rising and what was pressing not so pressing now.  Sweet perspective is one of the many gifts of children. Thank you beautiful Margot for helping dad step out of the whirlwind and find his footing again.

answered prayer

The house is quiet, 10pm and unexpectantly my daughter sleeps.  Quick breaths, little grunts here and there accompanies Adele’s “Hometown Glory”, a rich moment.  She is 2 month old this week, so fast the going of growing up.   My son’s too are stretching out from the bottom up, sharing school days, new tidbits of discovery and the occasional correction of their ol’ dad on Star Wars lore.  Man, I did not see this all coming my way back when, I dared to hope and did in fact pray for the gift of family.  Answered prayer, thank you Lord, yes, answered prayer.

Barbara - Beautifully written!! You are truly blessed with many gifts!!
Two months? It can’t be true!

Kylie Batt - здрасте всем!!!!!!!!!!…

Evan Glass

The Glass family just left my studio from their ordering session.  We commiserated on the late newborn nights we’re both experiencing, laughing at the side effects of sleep depravation, sharing the challenges as well as cherishing these early months.  I can’t say this enough of how blessed we are to have the clients we do.  Taking pictures of people’s lives is great but getting to share in those lives, well, that’s where the real gold is.

So here is Evan in good hands.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Our sweethearts, Atticus, Adam and Margot.

Nick Fancher - The top photo is brilliant as was your card. Thanks for it, by the way. It is on our mantle and I proudly show it to our guests saying “Look at Jack’s future wife”

cramer - so so sweet. so happy for you all.

DiAnna DiAntonio - Chris,
Trica and you must be very happy, because it shows in your babies contented faces. They are so very beautiful, I can’t wait until the day comes when I get to see your family.
God Bless you and your growing family
With love.

Amy - Thank you for the card–we haven’t been able to stop looking at it! The boys are gorgeous and the urge to hold that precious little ball of adorable is overwhelming!!

Carl McKinney - awwwww, look at little Margot and the boys. She still looks like a little button off of the Keels coat. So cute! God’s blessed you with the most amazing family.
